Thats bubble worthy my friend...ahahaa
You're thinking of the Sega Nomad.
Right on!!! That it THE single biggest announcement Microsoft could have made...that is huge.
I remember back in the golden age of gaming, they cost anywhere from $50-$80 per game. I forked over $80 on BOTH Shining in the Darkness and Phantasy Star 4. People will easily spend $16 for a 2 hour movie and expensive popcorn, but they have a hard time dropping $60 on a game that will last for 60+ hours. OBVIOUSLY cheaper is better...just don't buy shhity games, and the great are well worth IMHO.
...
I think it has mostly to do with money. Fanboys want to believe their system is the best because mommy and daddy will only buy them one system. They HAVE to believe they can get all the best games by only owning one system, they HAVE to believe their controller is best, they HAVE to believe their online network is best...because it's all they have....and a fanboy is created.
It's not like the game is coming out next week. We probably won't even see it for 2-3 more years. If you want to talk about milking a franchise, lets talk about Final Fantasy.
But you seem to think that PSN is the only one doing updates. It has gotten way better over the passed 2 years, but so has LIVE. Free is nice no doubt, but I'll still take the layout and conveniences of LIVE. Don't get me wrong, I love my PS3, but the 360 has a better network...anybody that owns BOTH systems (so they're not a fanboy) would agree.
The Wii (which I happily own) has nearly identical specs as the original Xbox. I am pumped for a current gen version of this game though.
is that we are two years into the life of the PS3, and they don't have any exclusive RPG's...what the hell? (I don't count Folklore) Don't get me wrong FF13 will be worth the wait, but...what the hell?
because it's really all about what you're use to and prefer. I own all three systems, and the 360 controller just fits my hands best. I even keep rumble turned off...I just like the way it feels better, regardless of rumble.
the people who voted are more then likely 12 years old. The voters should have been GAMERS for at least 20 years, not just been ALIVE for 12. It's very hard to have a "Best of all time" list when most of the voters know nothing about gaming before PS2.
720p can't polish a turd. I'll pass on Haze. The demo was abysmal.
but they would need a bunch of heavy hitters on release...like an actual Phantasy Star sequel (Phantasy Star 5) and Shenmue 3. Hell, I'd buy the system just for those two games alone, but then again, I'm an old school gamer.
but I just started disc 2, and I'm 16 hrs into it. GREAT GAME!!!
a winner is emerging, this war should have ended long ago, but because this is a news website, the story has been updated...though it really doesn't mean much for the HD-DVD camp, here's the info...

Update: It looks like all hope is not lost for HD DVD renters. Not only does Blockbuster Online still carry titles in the endanger...
You missed my point entirely. All I was saying is that because LO got a 2.5/5 on ONE site, and Folklore got a 4/10 on ONE site, doesn't mean its the end all be all score. LO just got a 8.8/10 from Gametrailers. My point was that ratings are typically way off, because it comes down to personal preference. It sounds like you enjoyed Folklore, I'm glad to hear you liked it enough to defend it...In the same boat, I quite enjoyed Enchanted Arms, and that game was crazy mediocre too, but regard...
It all depends on where you look chief...

4/10 for Folklore
or

8.2/10 for Lost Odyssey
My point was not to bash Folklore, it was to simply state that the PS3 has very little viable RPG's. I...
Skies would be my second choice...a TRUE Phantasy Star sequel would be the best. Phantasy Star 5 FTW!!!
